adverts really do suck these days dont they! there are more and more stupid annoying people dressed up in elephant outfits, kids talking like they are grown up, oh and of course on cable after 10pm you get adverts for date and flirting phone lines, so you are watching a film and during the ad break (every 10mins!) the same ad loops over and over showing girls you so wont be talking if you were to ring the number. grrrrr!

Well, I don't know how it goes over there, but over here, we USED to have relatively decent, funny adverts. and not too often.

However, these days, every bloody advert is for ambulance-chasers, or loan-sharks --- they don't even try to make the adverts funny or imaginative.

I have lots to say against the BBC licence fee, but at least it's a breath of fresh air not having ANY adverts on BBC channels (a few years ago, they used to advertise their tv-listings magazine between programmes, but they don't seem to do this anymore)

Actually, it bothers me a bit that I've now become the sterotypical male who has to flip channels during TV commercials...
I suppose next I will start drinking Beer and belching in public while scratching my nether regions. Go figure.
