Police have confirmed that forces in England and Wales are passing up to 14m reads per day from automatic numberplate recognition cameras to a national database.
    The UK – where Big Brother is alive and well.

Basically, these 10,000 cameras record your car registration wherever you go, and keep the collated results on a database for 2 years.
